We could use a lot of words to describe why customers love RemZzzs® and keep coming back night after night. However, because our satisfied customers love to do that part for us, we’ll just share what they keep sending us, typos and all. Enjoy!

Before I began using RemZzzs I found that my face was becoming more and more irritated from the cushion of my mask. it was getting to the point where I was going to have to make an appointment with a dermatologist. It was at that time, with my face badly marked and irritated that I consulted with Vanguard Medical. They suggested that I begin to use the RemZzzs. What a blessing. My face is no longer sore or marked, my mask no longer wakes me with sounds of air escaping. I have been on a CPAP for some eight or nine years and have now at last found restful sleep. One of the members of my parish spoke of her husband when she saw my face badly marked and told how her husband when dying and in the hospital was infected where his mask had been. Please continue to cover this necessary item for CPAP patients.

I strongly disagree with the Medicare claim (in their letter to you of 3/7/13) that CPAP mask liners are “duplicative” of what the masks themselves do. Simply put, my mask (a ResMed Mirage Quattro) feels Soft on my face with a RemZzzs liner but Hard, by comparison, without the liner. There is also the benefit that leaks are reduced with the liner, and less noisy too, less distracting. I suggest that the Medicare officials who think that liners are duplicative spend a few night themselves in CPAP therapy, some nights with and some nights without liners. Then reconsider the value of the liners.

My CPAP mask DOES NOT WORK without RemZzzs liners. I tried various fittings, positions, etc. but employing RemZzzs is the only method that ensures that this vital health care technology will work as needed. It is not an extra, it is essential for the functioning of the CPAP mask.

Prior to using RemZzzs mask liners I was forced to strap the mask more tightly which caused considerable redness and discomfort around the edge of the mask, especially over the bridge of my nose. This was not only unsightly, but also very uncomfortable even several hours after the mask was removed. My attempts at making a similar mask liner myself was MUCH less comfortable and effective at preventing air leaks that essentially defeat the purpose of CPAP. As a retiree with very severe sleep apnea (my physician’s term) CPAP is essential, but discomfort from the mask without the liner is a strong disincentive to compliance or, conversely, if not fastened tightly enough without a liner, ineffective due to air leak. The health consequences of untreated sleep apnea ultimately will prove far more costly to Medicaid than the nominal cost of the RemZzzs liners, yet without Medicaid coverage I will be unable personally to cover the cost of these liners. Your decision to withdraw coverage of this valid and highly effective medical supply is both shortsighted and ultimately will prove more expensive to Medicaid in terms of medications, physician’s visits and even hospitalizations. This decision should be reversed immediately!

RemZzzs helped me be a cpap user once again. My skin is very very sensitive and RemZzzs not only provided a protective barrier to rebuke the irritation, but it worked as a seal as well, RemZzzs are a win win product. With diabetic patients and others like me with sensitive skin, I would think you would reconsider your decision

I have Personal Choice Option 7 (PPO). I also have SEVERE Sleep Apnea. The mask that fits me the best (best fit according to the doctor and technician) requires the mask liner + cushion (again–best fit) because my mask leaks in three places EVEN AFTER ADJUSTING THE STRAPS THAT HOLD THE MASK IN PLACE.

Due to rising blood pressure being borderline diabetic, and suffering from sleep apnea, it is mandatory for me to use a CPAP machine. Due to restricted nasal passages, I also breath through my mouth, so a full face mask is required. Because of a skin allergy, my nose and cheeks break out from the mask cushion. The Remzzz’s liner is the only way that I can use my cpap effectively. Prior to using the Remzzzs liners, it was difficult to use the cpap the full 4 hours per night. Since I started using them, I’m now averaging 7.5 hours per night. In order for me to stay Medicare compliant with the CPAP, I have no choice but to use the liners. Being totally dependent on Social Security for income and Medicare and my supplement insurance, I desperately need the Remzzzs face mask liners to be covered by Medicare.

As a parent of a 10 year old – I never dreamed that my son would need a Cpap machine for the past 2 years and whoever knows how long. And then to find that he wakes up with a ring around his face was dificult as I did not want his schoolmates to make fun of him. The RemZzzs was a blessing. It provides the comfort he needs without the marks on his face. Without RemZzzs, my son would get the discomfort and even the ridicule of face marks that I would never want him to get. We are personally indebted to this product.

I know the cost has risen with international cotton shortages, but I think RemZzzs are an essential part of CPAP therapy. I struggled for two months before discovering them. They are part of the reason I have been using my machine faithfully for three years now. Without them I get terrible dermatitis since you can’t drool on your pillow wearing a full face plastic mask. Even small amounts of saliva on skin can be a huge irritant, add forced air to the equation and you have major dermatological woes. They also ensure a better mask fit beyond what the cushion on the mask alone offers and reduce disturbing hissing noises from the machine. These should not be considered a luxury item or an optional part of CPAP therapy. It saddens me to think that people may be denied these because of Medicare and Private Insurance restrictions. Whenever a friend is diagnosed with sleep apnea I always send them information about RemZzzs and recommend the product because I think they are that important to adjusting to CPAP therapy. Without RemZzzs there would be many apnea patients who are diagnosed and who purchase equipment that they would then stop using from frustration. RemZzzs are a simple and inexpensive solution to a major complication of sleeping with a breathing machine. They deserve to be honored as a vital adjunct to CPAP therapy and not dismissed as a frivolous embellishment. I hope that the medical industry soon recognizes this since their objective is to prevent lack of oxygen during sleep.Denying RemZzzs as a permissible expense may cut costs but it seems rather foolish to interefere with an item that allows for the best possible results for all sleep apnea patients and their physicians.
